Inclusion Criteria

1.All patients undergoing laparoscopic Anterior Resection/ Low Anterior Resections/ Ultra Low Anterior Resection for either cancerous / non cancerous lesions.

2.Age > 18 yrs

3.ASA 1 & 2

Exclusion Criteria

â??ASA 3 & 4

â??Electrolyte disturbances

â??Allergy to local anaesthetic

â??Seizure disorder

â??Anti-arrhythmic drug intake within 1 week before surgery

â??Psychiatric disorders

â??Steroid treatment

â??Chronic opioid treatments

â??Conversion to laparotomy
