1. Patients suffering from idiopathic/ primary grade I and grade II hemorrhoids presenting with any of the symptoms namely bleeding, pain (tenesmus), heaviness, pruritis, and mucus discharge with or without anitis.
2. Patients with known but controlled diabetes (glycated hemoglobin less than 8 %) and controlled hypertension and thyroid disorders will also be eligible for the study.
3. Patients using topical agents for hemorrhoids will be included after a washout period of one week, subject to persistence of symptoms and signs of hemorrhoids.
1. Grade III and IV piles, anal fissure and fistula.
2. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension and thyroid disorders.
3. Known case of hereditary piles, inflammatory bowel disease, enlarged prostate, chronic alcoholism, cirrhotic liver disease, recreational drug abuse, coagulation disorders, external hemorrhoids, previous history of surgery for hemorrhoids, hypertrophic anal papillae, rectal malignancies, history of leukemic disorders, patients with obstruction of portal circulation, pregnancy leading to obstruction of the portal circulation, lactating mothers, patients with psychiatric diseases.
4. Patients of Hemorrhoids with symptomatology of other than predefined drugs.
