Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients who could receive both: a laryngeal mask or an endotracheal intubation
- •\- Age: 18 \- 80 years
- •\- ASA I \- III
- •\- elective surgery with a duration of at least 30 minutes
- •\- General anesthesia and inpatient stay
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- operations on the head or neck
- •\- predictably difficult intubation
- •\- pre\-existing damage to the vocal cords
