Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Among patients undergoing thoracic surgery, those who consented to pain management
  • Age: 19 to 80 years old
  • American Society of Anesthesiologist Physical Condition Classification Grades 1 to 4

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with cognitive decline, which makes it difficult to obtain information and the effect of nerve block related to the study
  • Patients with contraindications to nerve block (INR \> 1\.3, PTT \> 43 seconds without anticoagulant administration, coagulopathy, antiplatelet medication within 48 hours,
  • dual antiplatelet therapy, treatment site infection, patient refusal of treatment, local anesthetic allergic reaction)
  • Patients requiring anticoagulant therapy after surgery
  • Pregnant woman
  • Comorbidity: Any concomitant disease (sepsis, anatomical thoracic deformity, empyema, elevated intracranial pressure, etc.) for which the patient should be excluded from the study under the judgment of the anesthesiologist
