This study designed as both a cross-sectional study to evaluate the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and a retrospective cohort study to assess the relationship between various factors affecting vitamin D levels in children with epilepsy who received anticonvulsants for treatment.

Inclusion Criteria

The study inclusion criteria include age ranged from 1-20 years were included from April 2018 to January 2019

Exclusion Criteria

The patients with abnormal liver function, kidney disease, or abnormal renal function, and who received vitamin D supplements or a Ketogenic diet containing vitamin D were excluded.
