Inclusion Criteria

Patients with metabolic disease, mainly obesity and/or type two diabetes who have the indication for a bariatric operation. In the control group are patients with also the above mentioned criteria who are undergoing and operation of the gastrointestinal tract for benign reasons. Informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

no informed written consent, under the age of 18, malignant disease, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, immunosuppression
