Inclusion Criteria

This prospective, double blind, randomized controlled trial would be conducted in the Department of Anesthesiology AIIMS, New Delhi after Institute Ethical Committee approval. Patients will than be divided into four groups:

In the operating room, standard monitors [electrocardiography (ECG), NIBP, pulse oximetry (SpO2)] will be applied. General anaesthesia will be induced with sevoflurane and oxygen till the loss of eyelash reflex. An intravenous line will be secured followed by injection fentanyl 1µg/kg. An anesthesiologist will then open the envelope to randomize patients into four groups.

Group I: Surgery without muscle relaxant

Group II: Will receive Atracurium at 25% ED95

Group III: Will receive Atracurium at 50%ED95

Group IV: Will receive Atracurium of 100%ED95

Exclusion Criteria

1.Child with major systemic illness

2.Active upper respiratory tract infection

3.Refusal to participate in the study

4.ASA III and IV

5.Refusal to participate in the study

6.Any neuromuscular disease

7.Children with craniofacial anomalies.
