简要总结

Skin, the largest organ of the body, serves as a protective barrier but is also highly susceptible to various diseases. In Ayurveda, skin is known as Twacha or Charma, and skin disorders are broadly categorized under Kushtha, which are further divided into Maha Kushtha (7 types) and Kshudra Kushtha (11 types). According to Ayurvedic texts, these conditions arise from imbalances in the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and other bodily elements such as Twacha, Mansa, Rakta, and Lasika.

The concept of Prakriti—a person’s innate constitution determined at conception—is central to Ayurvedic diagnosis. It is believed that individuals are naturally more prone to diseases associated with their dominant Dosha. This study aims to explore the possible correlation between an individual’s Prakriti and the occurrence of skin disorders.

Further, drawing from Vedic Astrology, the study also examines the potential influence of Janmarashi (moon sign) and Janma Nakshatra (birth star) on skin conditions. Both Janmarashi and Janma Nakshatra are considered to influence physical and mental traits, and even specific body parts. With 12 Janmarashis and 27 Nakshatras, this study seeks to identify whether certain celestial configurations are linked to a higher susceptibility to skin diseases, integrating Ayurvedic and astrological principles for a more personalized understanding of health.
