Age 19
Presence of a circulatory failure
Need for a fluid challenge, as decided by the attending physician
Had jugular venous catheterization in place
Hemodynamic monitoring with a Flotrac connected
Agree to participate in study and sign the consent form

Exclusion Criteria

Pregnancy
Moribund
At high risk of pulmonary edema from fluid loading as judged by attending physicians
Decline to participate in the study or withdraw from the study
