Inclusion Criteria

Patients with horizontal defect in the alveolar ridge with overall thickness less than 4 mm

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with systemic problems that affect the tissue repair process (connective tissue diseases. Kidney failure. Liver failure. Diabetes)
Smokers
Patients taking anti-osteoporosis drugs
Lack of patient consent to participate in the study
Patients of developmental age.
Pregnant patients
Patients with psychological problems

Primary Outcome Measures

Name	Time	Method
The amount of increase in the thickness of the alveolar ridge. Timepoint: Measurement of alveolar ridge thickness at the beginning of the study before the intervention and 4 months after the intervention. Method of measurement: Caliper with an accuracy of one tenth of a millimeter.

Secondary Outcome Measures

Percentage of viable bone to total graft volume in the reconstructed area. Timepoint: 4 months after the intervention. Method of measurement: Observations under light microscope to examine the percentage of newly-formed bone.
