- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Expected outcome 1-Reduction of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9) with resolution or significant reduction of the periapical inflammatory process, verified by means of the Immunoenzymatic Assay (ELISA) method, which allows the detection of amounts of protein nanograms (10-9 g) from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Expected outcome 1-Increased release of tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase metalloproteinases (TIMP-1, TIMP-2) with resolution or significant reduction of the periapical inflammatory process, verified through the immunoenzymatic assay method (ELISA), which allows the detection of quantities of protein of the order of nanograms (10-9 g) from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post-intervention measurements.
