We recruited 60 patients whose ages ranged from 1 to 15 years old and who were classified into class I or II according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists. All patients were scheduled to undergo elective bilateral MTI at the Saint Vincent’s Hospital, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul, Korea, between July 2012 and October 2013. P The study protocol was approved by the Saint Vincent Hospital Ethics Committee (VC12MISI0113) and written informed consent was obtained from all the study participants.
