Amongst all menstrual disorders *Raktapradara* is one of the most commonly reported Gynaecologic complaints. *Raktapradara* is an excessive or prolonged flow of blood occurring in menstrual or intermenstrual period as per Ayurvedic classics.
DUB is defined as a state of abnormal uterine bleeding without any clinically detectable organic pelvic pathology- tumour, inflammation or pregnancy.The bleeding may be abnormal in frequency, amount or duration or combination of any three. DUB is due to endometrial abnormalities which may be primary(due to local causes) or secondary

- Excessive menstrual bleeding (more than 3 regular sized pads soaked per day) Prolonged menstrual bleeding.
- Inter menstrual bleeding.
- Patients using IUCD or Oral contraceptive pills or Hormonal therapy.
- Patients having any systemic illness.
- Patients having any organic pelvic pathology.
- Patients having H/O recent delivery, threatened or spontaneous or incomplete abortion and ectopic pregnancy.
- Patients with bleeding from sites other than uterus.
- Patients with Hb < 6gm%.
