Brief Summary

Haemorrhoids is one of the most common ano-rectal disease.Fast

food,disturbed bowel habits,sedentary life style ,shift duties,stressful

life,being obese,straining during bowel movemants,prolong standing &

sitting these are the causes of Haemorrhoids. Haemorrhoids also called

pile,these are dilated veins within the anal canal.

Rationale of the study:

Many patients tends towards surgical treatment instead this

conservative treatment can be alternative.

This attempt is made as a Poorvakarma of surgical treatment,as

a preventive measure.

There is a need to assess the comparision of Nagkeshar Choorna

and Kutajtwak vati in the management of Raktarsha .

Nagkeshar choorna is easily available and cheap as compared

to other drugs.

Hence, this is an attempt to provide a safe, effective and easily

available remedy for Raktarsha.

Inclusion Criteria

Raktarsha (Bleeding piles),Age between 20-60 yrs,Anaemia,Diabetes,Secondary piles.

Exclusion Criteria

Major cardiac illness, Associated with other anorectal conditions as follows Fistula in ano,Prolapsed of the rectum,Perineal Abscess,Malignancy,Rectal polyp ,4 th degree haemorrhoids.

Assessment will be done by criteria like gudagata shoola,gudgat raktstrav, gudkandu, gudstrav.Patient will be followed up on 1st,3rd and 6th day.
The effect of Nagkeshar choorna will be accessed with the effect of kutajtwak vati taken orally in Raktarsh.Patient will be followed up on 1st,3rd and 6th day.
