1. Healthy aged community dwelling elderly subjects being devoid of major chronic disease except diabetes and hypertension
2. No major cognitive limitation
-MOCA >26/30 (Montreal Cognitive Assessment)
3.No major restriction in physical activity
-Minnesota LTPA score (Leisure Time
Physical Activity)
-Males >383 Kcal/week
-Females >270 Kcal/week
4. Possess sound mental health
-GDS < 9/30 ( Geriatric depression scale)
1.Already physically active subjects who are involved in 60 min of physical activity 4 times a week
2.Acute illness or diagnosed as chronic or terminal illness with life expectancy less
than 12 months
3.Fall or injuries in last 72 hours
4.Severe physical dependency ( Barthel Index score for basic activities < 60 points)
5. Any progressive degenerative neurologic disease like parkinsonism, multiple
sclerosis
6. Severe audiovisual impairment
7. Locomotor disability like stroke, arthritis
8. Cardiovascular diseases like heart failure, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction
9. Cancer
10. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
11. Unable to participate to complete 12 months total duration of the study
