Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •\- uses German as a first language or, in case of a non\-German native language, has regular contact with the German language for several hours (e.g., daycare center) for at least 10 months
  • •\- IQ \=85 in a developmental diagnostic (limit cases: \=77, provided that a repeated examination after 6 months at the earliest shows improvement)
  • •\- peripheral normal hearing bilateral
  • •\- moderate to severe (specific) developmental language disorder

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- motor, cognitive, anatomical, or sensory disorders that may be associated with language deficits
  • •\- speech fluency disorder
  • •\- profound developmental disorder (e.g. autism or mental disorder)
  • •\- language therapy during the last 3 months
  • •\- childhood apraxia of speech (CAS)
