Inclusion Criteria
1. Newly diagnosed patients with sepsis (according to Sepsis-3 criteria) >18 years, admitted in
the medical ICU
2. Those providing informed consent to participate in the study
Exclusion Criteria
1. Pregnant females
2. Diagnosed patients of cancers, hepatic dysfunction, severe malnutrition, immunodeficiency
disorders
3. Known patients having hematological diseases
4. Patients on steroid therapy
