Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Study group 1:
- •\- Diagnosis with unilateral conductive hearing loss
- •\- Treatment with a bone\-conductive device or an active middle ear implant
- •Study group 2:
- •\- Diagnosis with unilateral conductive hearing loss
- •\- No treatment with a bone\-conductive device or an active middle ear implant
- •Study group 1 and 2:
- •\- age \= 18 years
- •\- right handed
- •\- German at at least B1 level
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Relevant neurological or psychiatric illness
- •\- Circumstances and illnesses that suggest insufficient compliance with the PET or fMRI examination
- •\- Pregnancy, breastfeeding
- •\- Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus
- •\- Study\-related radiation exposure from previous study participation
- •\- Relevant ophthalmological diseases
- •\- Participants do not agree to the communication of incidental findings.
