Inclusion Criteria
All patients above 18 years, undergoing exploratory laparotomy in emergency
Exclusion Criteria
Patients where I COUGH protocol can not be implemented like patients on ventilator, critically ill patients on ionotropes and patients who are unable to understand the instruction given to them, patient who are either not having a smart phone or if they are not well versed with the use of social media and messaging services

Name Time Method 1.Number of out of bed ambulation <br/ ><br>1.Holding duration at full inspiration with a spirometer <br/ ><br>3.No. of balls that he/she is able to lift and hold for more than two seconds <br/ ><br>4.Incentive spirometry performed per day (Number of cycles) <br/ ><br>Deep Breathing exercise performed per day (Number of cycles) <br/ ><br>Timepoint: First 3 days after the surgery
