- •Both genders; between 18 to 40 years old; presence of trigger points in the musculature; physically active; signed the statement of informed consent

- •Body Mass Index (BMI) above 30; have used analgesic, anti\-inflammatory, anticoagulant, muscle relaxant or antipyretic medications up to 24 hours before; needle phobia; pregnant women; performed strenuous exercises or used stimulants 24 hours before; sensitivity or mental disorders diagnosed
