1) Children aged between 1-18years of age (Inpatient &Outpatient)
2) WHO hemoglobin thresholds used to define anemia in different age groups are
      children 6 months to 5 years: 11 g/dl;
      children 5â??12 years: 11.5 g/dl;
       children 12-18 years:12g/dl
   3)The WHO criteria proposed to define depleted storage iron are 12μg/L for children      under 5 years and 15μg/L for those over 5 years(16)
higher threshold of 30μg/L is used in the presence of infection or inflammation.
4)Willing to participate in the study.
1) Children aged less than 1 year of age group
2) Children with chronic debilitating disease
3) Who are not willing to participate in study
4) Children who are already on iron supplementation
5) Children with severe anemia who are in need of parenteral iron supplementation
