Inclusion Criteria
1.ASA grade I and II patients undergoing major abdominal surgery
2. Age 18 to 80 years
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with previous history of Schizophrenia, Dementia or Parkinsonism
2.Patients taking any kind of psychiatric treatment.
3.Patients in sepsis (either fever, raised TLC, known source of infection).
4.Patients already on ventilator.
5.Patients who are not extubated within 2 hours after surgery.
6.Known contraindications to either of the drugs.
7.Pregnant women.
