Inclusion Criteria

1.Adolescent girls and boys age between 13 to 15 years

2.Those who know to read and understand English

3.Adolescent studying in selected urban high schools

4. Adolescent studying in 8th standard class

5. Adolescent girls and boys whose BMI is equal to and above 23.0 to 24.9 kg per m2

6.Who are staying at home with parents

7.Who are physically and mentally fit to do the exercise program based on the school health check up report and certification by a pediatrician

8.For whom the parents give consent for the participation

9.Parents of overweight and obese adolescents who can understand health education in English

10.Parents who are ready to maintain daily proficiency check list regarding physical activities of their overweight and obese adolescent child

Exclusion Criteria

1.Subjects with known history of psychiatric disorder as reported by the teacher based on health record maintained in the school

2.Adolescent whose weight is increased more than 3 kg from the pre test

3.Children for whom the physical activity is contra indicated as medical documents available at school and fitness certificate from pediatrician

4.Who are already diagnosed and are on treatment for life style related disorders

5.Who are not attending minimum 3 days of exercise program per week

6.Parents of overweight and obese adolescents who can understand health education in English
