Inclusion Criteria
1.subjects undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment for minimum of 1 month with gingival index(Loe and sillness)score > 1
2.subjects not using any form of adjunctive chemotherapeutic agents.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Subjects suffering from any systemic diseases.
2.Subjects who have undergone periodontal surgical or non surgical treatment 6 months prior to the study.
3.History of systemic antibiotic administration within 3 months prior to the study or any other regular medication.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The use of light activated curcumin solution along with scaling will prove beneficial in reducing plaque formation measured with bonded bracket plaque index.Timepoint: Outcome is clarified with the help of measuring clinical parameters at baseline, at the end of 1st month and end of 3rd month.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The use of light activated curcumin solution along with scaling will prove beneficial in reducing gingivitis measured with sulcular bleeding index and gingival index.Timepoint: At baseline ,and at the end of 1st month and 3rd month.
