Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Reduction of the area under the glycemia curve (calculated by the pre and 45, 60, 75, 90 and 120 minutes after standard meal), measured by means of a portable glucose meter, from a statistically significant difference (p <0.05) between the Control and Interrupt sessions
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Reduction of the area under the diastolic blood pressure curve (calculated by pre and 60 and 120 minutes after standard meal), measured by means of an automatic blood pressure oscillometric device, from a statistically significant difference (p <0.05) between the Control and Interrupt sessions;Improvement of cognitive function, measured by means of computerized tests in the pre, 60 and 120 minutes post-meal period, from a statistically significant difference (p <0.05) between the Control and Interruption sessions at the post-meal points;Reduction of the area under the systolic blood pressure curve (calculated by pre and 60 and 120 minutes after standard meal), measured by means of an automatic oscillometric blood pressure device, from a statistically significant difference (p <0.05) between the Control and Interrupt sessions
