Inclusion Criteria

1.All patients of melasma of age more than 18 years attending the

dermatology OPD, JIPMER

2.Patients of melasma who has received any topical treatment (after washout period of 2 weeks)

Exclusion Criteria

1.Other causes of facial melanosis (such as lichen planus pigmentosus, erythema dyschronicum perstans, pigmented contact dermatitis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation)

2.Pregnant and lactating mothers

3.Patients currently using oral contraceptives

4,History of endocrinopathies

5.Patients on hormone replacement therapies

6.Patients with hypersensitivity to chemical peels
