Brief Summary

The primary purpose of the study is to compare the body-esteem and the decision-making styles of young adults with and without tattoos.

Whereas, the secondary purposes are as follows:

o   To study the relationship between body-esteem and decision-making styles of young adults with and without tattoos.

o   To study the gender differences in the body-esteem and the decision-making styles.

There are 3 hypotheses in this study which are in accord to the primary and the secondary purposes. These hypotheses are as follows:

o   H0: There is no significant difference in body-esteem and decision-making styles among young adults with and without tattoos.

o   H0: There is no significant relationship between body-esteem and decision-making styles of young adults with and without tattoos.

o   H0: There is no significant gender difference in body-esteem and decision-making styles among young adults with and without tattoos.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Individuals should be within the age group of 18-30 years.
  • Individuals should be residents of Mumbai.
  • Individuals should know how to read and write English.
  • Individuals who consent to participate in the study.
  • Individuals with tattoos should either have tattoos at visible places or should be consenting to give a proof of it.
Exclusion Criteria

Individuals with physical impairment.
