Patients with uterine prolapse of any degree posted for vaginal hysterectomy will be recruited.

Exclusion Criteria

significant Spinal deformities, Coagulation abnormalities

infection over lumbosacral spine

allergy to local anaesthetics

Symptomatic cardiovascular disease

General contraindications to neuraxial anaesthesia
