Overview

Brief Summary

AKI is common in patients admitted to the CCU. Patients with AKI are associated with higher mortality and progression to ESKD compared to non-AKI patients. Inotropic use reduced Left ventricular ejection fraction, on a mechanical ventilator, and CKD were the risk factors associated with AKI.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patient who admitted to the CCU for more than 48 hours

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients who were admitted to the CCU prior to January 1, 2019
  • Patients who are currently receiving KRT
  • Patients who have undergone kidney transplantation
  • Patients who were admitted for conditions other than cardiac problems, such as sepsis or non\-cardiac operations
  • Patients whose medical records are incomplete
