Knowledge, perception and awareness on organ donation in medical and non-medical students - a comparative study

The purpose of the study and it’s procedure will be explained to the participants and written informed consent will be obtained.  The purpose of the study is to find out the knowledge and perception of undergraduate students on Organ Donation. Both Medical and non medical students will be asked to fill the questionnaire related to the knowledge on Organ donation and the final data will be used to compare their perceptions and awareness on organ donation.

The questionnaire consists of questions on broad areas :-

1)        Knowledge on organ donation

2)        Attitude towards organ donation

3)        Experience

4)        Autonomy Vs Altruism

Based on the information collected, from the questionnaires, the data will be entered in MS Excel sheet and the data will be analyzed and comapred between the 2 groups.  The findings of this study are anticipated to provide valuable insights into the factors that influence organ donation practices and to identify potential areas for targeted educational and awareness campaigns.
