Intratidal nonlinear mechanics of the respiratory system during anesthesia for laparoscopic surgery

Conditions
respiratory system mechanics of patients during laparoscopic surgery
Registration Number
DRKS00004325
Lead Sponsor
Anästhesiologische Universitätsklinik Freiburg
Brief Summary

Pneumoperitoneum during laparoscopic surgery causes intratidal recruitment/derecruitment which partly persists after its removal. The analysis of the intratidal volume-dependent CRS profiles could be used to guide intraoperative PEEP adjustments during elevated intraabdominal pressure.

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The temporal courses of aiirwa pressure, flow rate, esophageal and gastric pressure are recorded. In an offline analysis the intratidal compliance course will be calculated.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
During the experiment oxygenation will be recorded. The data alalysis will be performed after the experiment.
