1.Participants from whom a written informed consent/ surrogate written informed consent will be received.
2.Participants who will be admitted at ICU of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Mangalore irrespective of their disease diagnosis.
3.Participants between the age group of 16 to 70 years. (Both ages inclusive)
4.Participants irrespective of sex, caste, religion, locality, occupation, marital status, educational status, socio-economic status and food habits.
5.Participants having one or more of Arista Lakshana related to Varna and/or Sparsha as enlisted in the Ayurveda treatise Charaka Samhita.
6.Participants having Arista Lakshana related to Varna and Sparsha caused by both endogenous and exogenous factors.
1.Participants having Purushaashrita Arista Lakshana other than Varna and Sparsha.
2.Participants having Purushaanashrita Arista Lakshana.
3.Participants having Ristaabhasa.
4.Children below 16 years of age.
5.Pregnant, women in purpureal period and lactating women.
6.Especially abled individuals
7.Elderly above the age of 70 years.
8. Individuals with associated psychiatric co-morbidities.
9.Participants getting discharged against medical advice (DAMA).
10.Participants who refuse to accept/continue the SoC due to any reason.

Name Time Method Palliative care (PC) is a new field in medicine which is essential for patients with chronic advanced illness. End of life (EOL) care is defined as care that helps those with advanced, progressive, incurable, and serious illness to live as well as possible till death. Hospice care (HC) is a type of palliative care program for people in the final months of life and is considered when the personâ??s condition deteriorates and active treatment does not control or cure the disease. The knowledge of Arista Lakshana would guide a medical person to reveal the possibilities to the patientâ??s family members and attenders as well. Hence this study helps for better understanding of Indriya Sthana practically and there-by helps in re-validation and documentation of the concepts explained in Samhita.Timepoint: To assess prognosis <br/ ><br>To document imminent signs of Death

Name Time Method Follow up will be done by telephonic communication/video calls after discharge or referral to other centers.Timepoint: In case of patient survival, the maximum duration of follow up will be for a period of 1 year at an Interval of 15th day, 28th day, 90th day, 6th month, 1 year
