Inclusion Criteria
1) Patients who are willing to give informed written consent
2)Patients of 18-60 years of either sex
3)Patients with height >140 centimetres and weight >45 kilograms upto 90 kilograms
4)ASA grade I and II
5)Elective infra umbilical surgeries
Exclusion Criteria
1)Patients refusing to give informed written consent
2)Patients with any contraindication for neuraxial blockade
3)Allergy to study drug
4)Patients on alpha-2 antagonist treatment and on anticoagulants
5)Patients posted for lower segment caesarean section
