1) Patients who have a mental and/or behavioral disorder (ICD-10 F*) and receive a lumbar puncture (i.e., a medical procedure to collect cerebrospinal fluid) as part of the diagnosis; 2) Control group: Patients whom CSF is analyzed due to a neurological exclusion diagnosis (e.g., in case of headache) and in whom a mental and/or behavioral disorder (ICD-10 F*) has been excluded; 3) Age = 18 years; 4) Informed consent that is signed by the patient or his/her legal caregiver/supervisor
1) Patients who are unable to consent, who do not understand the background and significance and consequences of the study, or whose legal caregiver/supervisor is unwilling to consent; 2) Control group: psychiatric disease (ICD-10 F*)

Name Time Method Prevalence and type of CSF abnormalities occurring in psychiatric patients, as well as the provision of data for further scientific investigations. Development of guidelines for CSF analysis in psychiatry and thus an improvement of the current diagnostic practice and health care for patients with neuropsychiatric diseases.
