A drug (ONDANSETRON), used in treatment of vomiting, has been shown to prevent fall in blood pressure after spinal anesthesia. This study identifies efficacy of ONDANSETRON in preventing fall in blood pressure after spinal anesthesia in pregnant women coming for cesarean operation.

Inclusion Criteria

1. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status II

2. Elective LSCS under Spinal anaesthesia

3. Hemodynamically stable

4. Full term, singleton pregnancy

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patients with prolonged Qtc >450ms

2. Patients with bradycardia (heart rate < 50/min)

3. Morbid obese

4. Patients with pre-existing cardiac disease

5. Patients with liver and renal dysfunctions

6. History of hypertension, pre-eclampsia, and convulsions

7. Patient with bleeding disorders

8. Uterine abnormality â?? placenta previa, abruptio placenta

9. Multiple gestation pregnancy

10. Patient refusal

11. Unstable hemodynamics

12. Coagulation abnormalities

13. Study drug allergy
