age of 18â€70 years,displaced clavicular midshaft fracture (no cortical contact betweenthe medial and distal fragment and/or >2-cm shortening),Fit for surgery ASA classification<3,
time to surgery > 3 weeks,An associated scapular fracture (floating shoulder),bilateral clavicular fracture, associated neurovascular injury, open fracture, pathological fracture, contraindication to surgery(alcoholic abuse,uncontrol psychiatric problem and epilepsy),and patient ineligibility for follow-up.
