Inclusion criteria (Diagnosis on the basis of ICD ? 10)
1.Patients of both sexes between 15 to 60 years of age from various occupations, socio-economic conditions.
2.Diagnosis as per ICD-10 criteria for alcohol dependence.
3.Patients willing to quit alcohol.
4.Patients willing for homoeopathic / allopathic treatment.
5.Laboratory Investigations, Liver Function test & Ultrasound of upper abdomen.
6.Written Informed Consent.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with any chronic systemic illness or with life threatening disease.
2.Cirrhosis of Liver.
3.Diagnosed Psychological disorder associated with alcohol dependence.
4.Cases with other substance abuse / addiction.
5.Patients not willing to sign the Consent Form.
6.Pregnant & lactating women.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Scoring, assessment will be done by using SADQ every month up to twelve months of follow up. <br/ ><br>WHOQOL-BREEF instrument will be used at baseline and at end of study to assess and compare the Quality of Life of patients in both groups <br/ ><br>For assessment of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, CIWA-Ar scale will be used at entry, on 7th day and on 15th day. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Scoring, assessment will be done by using SADQ every month up to twelve months of follow up. <br/ ><br>WHOQOL-BREEF instrument will be used at baseline and at end of study to assess and compare the Quality of Life of patients in both groups <br/ ><br>For assessment of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, CIWA-Ar scale will be used at entry, on 7th day and on 15th day. <br/ ><br>
