Inclusion Criteria
Patients admitted to the intensive care with circulatory failure due to septic or non-septic shock.
Age > 18 years.
Use of invasive hemodynamic monitoring to assess cardiac output and strokevolume.
Exclusion Criteria
Admittance with cerebral disorders.
Elevated intra-abdominal pressure.
Ischemia of the lower extremities
Decreased left ventricular function
