Inclusion Criteria

Chronic low-back pain due to disc prolapse, lumbar spondylosis, and/or spinal stenosis, for at least 3 month refractory to conservative or interventional therapies with pain score of more than 5.

Exclusion Criteria

coagulopathy, infection at the procedure site, allergy to corticosteroids, pregnancy, all endocrinology diseases, history of corticosteroid treatment in the preceding year, desi medications, chronic medical illnesses (diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, renal disease, liver disease, etc.), taking contraceptives, severe stress in the preceding month, those working at night shifts and grossly obese patients. None of the subjects consumes alcohol 12 hours before sampling or food one hour before sampling.
