1. Patients will be diagnosed on the basis of signs and symptoms available in Ayurveda and
modern medicine.
2. Patients willing to undergo trial.
3. Patients free from systemic illness.
4. Ruka (pain), Toda (pricking pain), Stambh (stiffness), Spandana (twitching), Sakthanah
kshepam nigrahaniyat - S.L.R.(Striaght leg raised) test (Active) and Braggardâ??s test in
affected leg for diagnosis as well as prognosis of the treatment.
5. Local tenderness in lumbar region and affected lower limbs.
1. Not willing to undergo trial.
2. Patients having any previous surgical procedure of lumbo-sacral spine and pelvic caviy.
3. HIV, HBsAg positive patients.
4. Pregnancy.
5. Uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus.
6. Patients having any history of Malignancy, Hypertension, Tuberculosis.
7. Cases of Spondylolisthesis, Sacroiliac arthritis, Herpes simplex infection causing radiating pain.
8. Any cyst compressing the nerve root, diabetic neuropathies.
9. Patients affected with multiple wounds, cases with destructed vertebral bodies &
fractures of the vertebra & lower limbs.
10. Contraindication of Agnikarma.
