Antônio Martins, a Marquette University doctoral student, develops innovative anaerobic biotechnology for energy-efficient wastewater treatment. Recently awarded an NSF I-Corps grant, his team engaged with over 150 potential customers, learning valuable strategies for translating research into market solutions. Martins aims to continue developing the technology for sustainable water industry applications.

FDA approves Exact Sciences' Cologuard Plus test, which detects colorectal cancer and precancerous polyps with greater sensitivity and fewer false positives. The test, developed with Mayo Clinic, is approved for adults aged 45+ and aims to improve screening rates.
