The Rwandan Bioeconomy Hub, launched at the University of Rwanda, aims to redefine the country's bioeconomy landscape through advanced training and laboratory facilities, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. The hub, a collaboration between UVU Bio, GIZ, MINEDUC, and UR, seeks to equip professionals with cutting-edge skills, support start-ups, and address Africa's bioeconomy sector challenges, aligning with the African Union's goal of producing 60% of the continent's vaccines by 2040.
