ABSTRACT****Background: Text neck syndrome describes an overuse injury of the cervical spine resulting from the repetitive stress of prolonged forward head flexion while looking down on a mobile screen. If left insufficiently treated, the text neck syndrome can worsen over time, causing a multitude of physical health problems such as cervical curvature alteration, neck and shoulder muscle strain, impaired neck muscle perception, posterior ligamentous injury, and entrapment neuropathies. Purpose: The aim of this study is to find out the effect of Janda approach in individuals with Text Neck Syndrome. Methods: Patients will be recruited based on selection criteria. Subjects will be randomly allocated into group 1 and group 2 through computer based random allocation techniques. Group 1 will receive Janda Approach and group 2 will receive conventional treatment (hot fermentation, neck isometrics) only   Pre-test and post-test assessment will be done by using visual analogue scale (VAS), Neck disability Index (NDI), Inclinometer, pressure biofeedback. The treatment will be given for 3 days a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Data Analysi****s: Data will be analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software.  Shapiro - Wilk test will be used to establish the normality of the data.  If data is found to be normally distributed it will be presented as mean±SD and paired t-test will be used for within the group analysis and unpaired t-test will be used for between the group analysis. If data is found to be not normally distributed it will be presented as Median (Interquartile range) and wilcoxon rank test will be used for within the group analysis and mann whitney U test will be used for between the group analysis. Keywords: Overuse injury, cervical spine, biofeedback, entrapment neuropathies

入选标准

  • age group of 18 to 35 years, both male and female, Visual analogue scale score greater than 3, based on short version of smartphone addiction scale score greater than 23, craniovertebral angle less than 50 degree, neck disability index score greater than 10.

排除标准

  • Individuals having headache due to migraine, any fracture of cervical spine, osteoporosis, cervical stenosis, tumor, uncontrolled hypertension, prolonged use of steroid, history of whiplash injury, Past surgical interventions, Patient having torticollis, and scoliosis, cervical radiculopathy symptoms.
