- •- diseases of the oral mucosa (e.g. lichen planus)
- •- systemic diseases that influence the gingiva (e.g. diabetes mellitus)
- •- infectious diseases (HIV, hepatitis)
- •- taking medication that has an influence on the periodontium (e.g. calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants)
- •- pregnant and lactating women
- •- gingival recessions on the maxillary incisors
- •- abraded incisal edge of the maxillary incisors
- •- conservative or prosthetic treatments of the maxillary incisors, which have contributed to changing the shape and length of the tooth
- •- carious maxillary incisors
