  • Heart disease (PFO, ASD, VSD, severe valvular disease)
  • Atrial fibrillation
  • Cerebrovascular pathology
  • Missing temporal bone window
  • Allergy to plastic contained in the investigative device (transcranial Doppler)
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Pregnancy
  • Participation in another study
