This study aims to study the immediate effects of neurodynamic technique and static stretching on hamstring flexibility and vertical jump height in recreational badminton players. Hamstring tightness is a common issue in athletes and increases the risk of injuries such as hamstring strains, low back pain, and patellofemoral pain syndrome. While static stretching is commonly used to improve flexibility, this study explores neurodynamic techniques as a potentially more effective method due to their ability to enhance neural mobility and functional performance. A total of 54 participants aged 18 to 25 with bilateral hamstring tightness will be recruited and randomly divided into two groups of 27 each. Group A will receive a neurodynamic sciatic slider technique performed in a supine position for 90 seconds per leg, while Group B will receive static hamstring stretching for 30 seconds repeated three times per leg. Hamstring flexibility will be measured using the Active Knee Extension Test and vertical jump performance will be assessed using the Vertical Jump Test. All assessments will be conducted before and immediately after the intervention, following a single blinded randomized controlled trial design.

入选标准

  • Recreational badminton players in the age group of 18-25 with bilateral hamstring tightness <125 degree using active knee extension test.

排除标准

  • Any Recent Upper Limb & Lower limb Injury in the past 6 months
  • History of upper limb and/or lower limb fracture
  • History of low back pain.
  • Disc herniation/protrusion.
  • History of any recent surgeries in the past 6 months
  • History of any Neurological and Cardiovascular and Respiratory Conditions.
