- •Crowding less than or equal to 3mm requiring fixed orthodontic treatment with bilateral extraction of the first premolars; Space closure is to be performed by sliding mechanics.

- •Syndromes or systemic diseases that influence bone or connective tissue metabolism.
- •Alveolar-wall fracture at the extraction site
- •Wound infection at the extraction site
