This is a Randomized controlled clinical trial to compare the efficacy of grapefruit seed extract mouthwash and chlorhexidine mouthwash on chronic gingivitis.
STUDY DESIGN
Group A consists of 40 subjects with chronic gingivitis receiving grapefruit seed extract mouthwash.
Group B consists of 40 subjects with chronic gingivitis receiving chlorhexidine mouthwash.
Clinical parameters like Oral hygiene index simplified, Plaque index and Gingival index will be evaluated at Baseline, after 7 days and after 14 days.
Statistical Package for Social Science(SPSS)version 21 for Windows (Armonk,NY:IBM corp) will be used for data analaysis.

入选标准
- •Patients between 18 and 65 years of age suffering from chronic gingivitis were considered for inclusion in this study.
排除标准
- •Advanced periodontal disease or severely malaligned teeth.
- •Patients suffering from any known systemic diseases.3.Smokers and alcoholic patients.
- •Pregnancy or lactatingfemale patients.5.Patients who have received surgical or nonsurgical periodontal therapy in last 3 months prior to the baseline visit.6.•Patients who have allergic to propolis products.
