The present prospective study will be conducted in the department of anaesthesia and critical care, PGIMS, Rohtak. Written informed consent will be taken from patients included. Comparison of Dexmedetomidine and Ondansetron will be done in Laparoscopic surgeries for prevention of nausea and vomiting. Data will be Compiled and analysed with appropriate statistical test.

入选标准

•ASA grade 1 or 2 scheduled for laprocopic surgery under general anaesthesia.

排除标准

•Refusal to consent History of motion sickness Combined hepatic and renal disease History of Parkinsonism History of vertigo Patient on Chemotherapy ASA grade 3 or more History of GERD Any history of Vomiting.

主要结局

Comparison of Dexmedetomidine and Ondansetron for prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting in laparoscopic surgeries.

时间窗: Post operative nausea and vomiting will be assessed at 0hour,4hour,12hour post surgery

次要结局

Change in hemodyanamics intraoperatively and in post operative room(Mean Blood Pressure and pulse rate noted at time of induction ,5min,10 min,15 min ,30min,45min,1hr of Surgery and in post operative room)
postoperative sedation(at 0 hr,4hr, 12hr post syrgery)
