•Fluent in the German language
•- Age 18 to 65 years
•- For Patients: Chronic motor tic disorder (F95.1) or chronic motor and vocal tic disorder (F95.2) as main diagnosis according to the International Classification of Diseases 10 (ICD 10)

•- Active suicidal or homicidal ideation within last 6 months
•- Current psychotic symptomatology
•- Active or recent substance abuse (except intake of cannabis-based substances, if consumed for treatment of tics and if they are paused 72 hours before the experiment)
•- Serious systemic medical disease that requires treatment
•- Clinically relevant neurological disorder of the central nervous system such as stroke, epilepsy, neoplasia
•- Mental retardation or other unstable psychiatric disorder that requires treatment
•- Active medication with benzodiazepine that cannot be paused for 72 hours
•- Withdrawal of consent
